Biology 250
August 2nd
We arrived in Custer State Park on August 2nd around 4pm. It was a sunny day and beautiful weather to setup tents in. There were bikes everywhere because of Sturgis Bike Rally. After we set up camp most of us enjoyed some relaxation in Center Lake which was nice and cool. I swam acrossed the lake four times. We had dinner and class around 7pm. Some of us took showers, others swam for a little more, and the rest either studied or went to sleep.
August 3rd
We started the day off with a visit to
which was quit incredible. There are no animals that lived in the cave however outside the entrance many plants and animals thrived.
After Wind Cave we visited the Wildlife loop which was full of large ungulates and plenty of birds. We returned to camp and some of us went to do laundry while others studied, took naps, showered, or swam.
At night we went to Mount Rushmore and had dinner and watch a video about the carving of the mountain.
